Career Counselor

Career Counselor

Churchill has partnered with the Wayne Regional Educational Service Agency (RESA) to support our career development work.  The program was designed to assist students with the career development process and ensure they understand the enormity of opportunities available locally.  The initiative began during the 2017-18 school year with 13 schools and has expanded to over 30 high schools across Wayne County. Each school has been assigned a career counselor to implement the program.

Our career counselor, Danielle Bean Jackson, mostly supports those upperclassmen who may be undecided, career confused, interested in short-term training options or focused on entering the workforce directly after high school. For students with an unidentified career pathway, she will help students explore their values and interests, the world of work, career trends, high-demand fields, professional trades, and local training opportunities.

She also shares the Wayne RESA Career Counselor Newsletter, in addition to other resources.  The attached flyer includes their fall virtual events, including opportunities for parent connection and virtual career chats on professional trades and health care careers. All are welcome to attend. Registration links for all virtual events can be found here: https://linktr.ee/wayneresacareer

For more information, Mrs. Bean Jackson can be reached via email  (dbean@livoniapublicschools.org) or phone (734-431-0860 call or text).

We are happy to begin this partnership and look forward to the growth on our campus.
