PSAT/NMSQT
The PSAT/NMSQT is administered once in the fall each year at Churchill High School. Students who choose to take the PSAT/NMSQT are automatically screened for the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, an academic competition for recognition and scholarships. (The PSAT 10 and PSAT 8/9 are not considered for entry.)
Approximately 16,000 of the 1.6 million entrants nationwide qualify for this prestigious honor, and they are invited to compete to become National Merit Finalists. Students are only able to qualify as National Merit Semi-Finalists if they are juniors who have taken the official (optional) test.
