Our School
Churchill High School's Mission
The Churchill High School staff is committed to providing a safe, positive and challenging learning environment, motivating all students to reach their greatest potential.
Churchill Points of Pride
At Churchill High School, we are proud of the many opportunities our students have to learn, grow, and lead. With over 50 student clubs and honor societies, a thriving marching band and orchestra, award-winning athletic programs, and dynamic academic and arts pathways, our Chargers are truly at the heart of excellence.
Academic Excellence and Comprehensive Curriculum
Churchill High School offers a rigorous and comprehensive curriculum that prepares students for success beyond high school. The majority of our students take college preparatory courses, and we are proud to offer Advanced Placement (AP) courses in English, Physics, Computer Science, U.S. History, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics.
Students may also pursue specialized academic programs such as the Math/Science/Computer (MSC) program or the Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) program, which provide unique, high-level learning experiences.
Our curriculum includes a wide range of elective options in art, business, family and consumer sciences, industrial technology, music, world languages, physical education, and media studies. In addition, 11th and 12th grade students can explore career and technical education through the Livonia Career/Technical Center.
Math/Science/Computer (MSC) Program
The Livonia Public Schools Math/Science/Computer (MSC) Program, located at Churchill High School, is a four-year program designed for students with a strong aptitude and passion for math, science, and computer science.
Thirty students are selected for each incoming 9th grade class. Applicants must have completed Algebra I by the end of 8th grade to be eligible. MSC students engage in a challenging, hands-on curriculum that prepares them for advanced studies and careers in STEM fields.

Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) Program
The Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) program fosters the skills, creativity, and confidence young artists need to continue their formal education in the arts. CAPA provides a safe, imaginative, and caring community for students in grades 9–12 within the Livonia Public Schools district.
Students can choose to study acting, vocal music, or dance, and many pursue multiple strands. CAPA students take two CAPA classes per semester, and district transportation is provided. We are proud of each of our CAPA artists—past, present, and future—who continue to make their mark on the world of arts and performance.

New Academic Support Centers (2025–2026)
As we begin the 2025–2026 school year, we are excited to launch two new peer-supported learning initiatives: the Writing Center and the Math Center.
Writing Center
Our new Writing Center is part of a senior-level English Language Arts course where students both refine their own writing and support their peers. The center is open during 4th hour (by teacher appointment), both lunches, Charger Time, and after school on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Peer mentors assist students with writing assignments, research projects, creative pieces, and college preparation tasks, helping all writers grow in confidence and skill.
Math Center
Formerly known as the Math Help Room, the Math Center provides peer tutoring during both lunches, Charger Time, and after school on Mondays and Wednesdays. It’s a welcoming space for students to strengthen math skills, prepare for tests, and get extra help in a collaborative environment.
Peer Tutoring Program
Starting November 10th, our Peer Tutoring Program will also be available after school in the Library Media Center on Mondays and Wednesdays. Organized and led by National Honor Society students, this program offers free academic support across subjects.
Athletics and School Spirit
Churchill High School offers outstanding athletic facilities and a wide range of sports for students at every grade level. Our Chargers compete as proud members of the Kensington Lakes Activities Association (KLAA) and will join the Lakes Valley Conference (LVC) starting in the 2026–2027 school year.
The LVC expansion marks an exciting new chapter for Livonia Public Schools and Farmington Public Schools. This partnership enhances opportunities for competition, community, and collaboration in Arts, Athletics, and Academics, strengthening connections across the region.
