Commencement Information

Where: 

USA Hockey Arena- 14900 Beck Rd. Plymouth, MI. 48170

When: 

Sunday, May 31st, 2026. 12PM 

Important Info:

Graduates should be at USA Hockey Arena by 11AM (they will head downstairs to the staging areas). Doors will open for guest admission at 11AM. There are NO TICKETS required for our commencement ceremony. 

Attire and Behavior: 

o   Caps should not be defaced or decorated in any way- they WILL be taken and replaced if so.

o   Caps should be horizontal to the ground. Not pointed up. Don’t worry about your hair!

o   Must not have visible phones (a chaperon will take them if they see them-embarrassing)

o   Please DO NOT talk throughout the ceremony

o   Remember: Traditionally, guys, have a white collared shirt with a tie, dark pants and dark shoes. Traditionally, Girls should have a dress or dark pants.

o   Make sure gowns are ZIPPED UP. They should not be open.

Regalia and Adornments: 

All regalia and adornments at graduation must be only be related to school-sponsored activities (honors societies, clubs, programs etc) and they must have approved requirements on file with Churchill. We DO NOT allow any personal sashes, stoles, or cords at our commencements that are not approved. If a student is wearing such adornments, they will be removed and given back at the conclusion of the ceremony. 

USA Hockey Arena NO BAG Policy:

  • All bags (including cross-body bags, clear bags, purses and fanny packs) are prohibited from being brought into USA Hockey Arena. Medical exceptions will be addressed on a case-by-case basis while entering the arena. Patrons requiring necessary items (diaper bags, medical prescriptions, etc.) are subject to a full bag check before entering the seating area. 
  • Guests carrying a prohibited bag will NOT be permitted inside the arena. Guests will need to return their bags to their vehicles before entering USA Hockey Arena.
  • Approved Bags & Items Include:
    • Medical Bags
    • Childcare and/or Diaper Bags
    • ADA-specific bags
    • Cell Phones and Pagers
    • Blankets
  • Bag Inspection Process
    • Upon arrival at USA Hockey Arena, all fans will undergo a security before entering the rink. If you have an acceptable bag, it will be subject to a thorough inspection from security at USA Hockey Arena. Please refer to the acceptable bags above. Any other bags and backpacks are NOT permitted inside the rink.
